Approach to work & Methodology

Collaboration is welcome

While I often design and develop websites myself, I also collaborate on some projects with website designers, graphics artists and user interface designers. This allows each of us to focus on our professional skills, and see each aspect of the project from expect eyes.

Whether you have a designer you wish to bring to the project, or would like a recommendation, any collaboration is welcome in order to produce the best possible results. For recommendations, I have an excellent set of contacts in all aspects of design, creativity and business.

We'll build a feature list together

Through initial consultations, we will develop a list of features of the project. Development time can then be estimated for each feature, and costed to build a complete quote.

Features can then be prioritised to get the most important parts of the project up and running, allowing for any further development.

You are involved throughout

Throughout a project, when possible, it's great for you to be involved. Depending on your preference, I can provide daily or weekly updates, or updates at significant points.

Changes and additions are encouraged

While we will discuss your requirements in detail, there are often additions and modifications further down the line, and I embrace these. I want your website to fulfill your requirements exactly, and follow an agile methodology allowing me to quickly change focus and change my priorities.

I provide regular updates

By working through a feature list, I am able to provide you with regular project updates, so we're both up-to-speed on progress of the project.

Testimonial

“We have had the pleasure of working with Nick for several years. Nick is courteous and trusting and has, and continues to be, excellent value - not least of all as his skill-base is so wide. We look forward to working with Nick for the future on new commercial website developments, and recommend him without hesitation.”
