ASP.NET

ASP.NET is part of the .NET Framework. It is a server-side web application language, comparable to PHP, although ASP.NET divides functionality and structure into two separate files, or into two separate code sections, where PHP combines the two.

ASP.NET is very different to Classic ASP, which is now outdated, although widely used in existing applications as converting code from Classic ASP to ASP.NET cannot be automated, and hence is a long-winded process.

ASP.NET is a definition, listed in the web development category. This entry was last updated on 12 October 2008, at 16:21.
