Click fraud
In online advertising programs where advertisers only pay-per-click, and publishers are only paid for each click, click fraud can occur. Technically, click fraud would occur at any point where an advert is clicked without valid intention of interest.
Click fraud has been known to be carried out by botmasters, using mass remote control to manipulate clicks from computers within their botnet.
