Project Lantern
Project Lantern, run by the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA), involves a mobile fingerprinting system, allowing Police officers to positively identify suspects while in the field. Using the National Fingerprint Database, Project Lantern has access to over seven million fingerprint records.
