Protectively Marked Information is a system of classification for information, used throughout national and local government, and commercial companies working with the government.

The scheme implements several levels of classification: restricted, confidential, secret and top secret.

The scheme also implements vetting, in order to access an appropriate level of information: Counter-Terrorist Check, Baseline Personel Security Standard, Security Check, Security Check Enhanced and Developed Vetting.
