Warchalking

Warchalking involves marking an area with predefined symbols, to notify others of the location of an insecure wireless network. These symbols would typically include the name (SSID) of the network, and often the WEP or WPA key. The actual process of cracking wireless networks in a public place is known as wardriving, a modern version of wardialing.

Warchalking is a definition, listed in the security category. This entry was created on 02 November 2008, at 19:14 , and was last updated on 13 January 2009, at 22:06.
